In 1845 the confectioner, David Sprüngli-Schwarz and his inventive son, Rudolf Sprüngli- Ammann. They manufactured chocolate in solid form, and the delectable new treat met with the approval of Zurich's social élite. And we are happy to say they are still making some of the finest chocolate to date.
